I am having a particularly busy time with my new designs recently. Last week, lots of new bits and bobs were delivered to my home causing excitement at the letterbox each morning!
I love receiving those little packages of beads and jewellery findings in their brown paper wrapping, it’s like Christmas all over again ?
You would think that I would be used to it after several years of jewellery designing, but indeed not. I am still like an excited child opening a present ?
The nicest delivery that I received last week was of these beautiful handmade polymer clay poppies. Now these cute little flowers are something that I do sometimes make myself, but I am not a fan of working with polymer clay. It makes my fingers ache!
So the flowers were handmade by a lovely and very talented lady called Natasha who is very experienced in the art of flower making.
All that was left for me to do was to create a necklace and earring design that would do them justice.
Important to keep things delicate on this occasion I thought, so worked with small seed beads and tiny rose gold spacer beads.
A nice result if I say so myself.
A big thank you to Natasha for supplying me with the gorgeous poppies. I also have some pretty purple roses to work with, so watch this space for more polymer clay flower designs.
